The school educates 160 children ages 3-14 years. One third of these children are orphans or with single parents. The school consists of six classrooms, two toilets and an office. The school has eight teachers and a number of support staff.
The History of the School
The school was founded in 2005 by Violet Anyoso as an educational centre for children. Violet passed away in May 2011 at the age of 34 and since then the schools board have been trying to continue her great work.

Changing Lives Project has supported Viara Academy with food supplies from June 2012 until December 2016.
Viara Academy is also supported by Rotary Nairobi, the Aga Khan Foundation and Bamba Rewards.
